FULL TIME WORK – YEAR-ROUND
We are currently hiring FULL TIME Skilled Craftsman who are experienced with Residential Construction settings and performing work in all facets of the business.
In this role, the Craftsman will work under the supervision of the Job Foreman.
Successful candidates will have the ability to:
- Perform a variety of hands-on construction tasks at various projects based on the needs and under the direction of the Job Foreman, including but not limited to: general carpentry; installing, finishing and repairing drywall, roofing and flooring; interior and exterior paint and trim; installing and finishing exterior siding.
- Utilize a range of hand tools and equipment to complete necessary work (e.g., saws, drills, sanders, cement mixers, jack hammers, demo hammers).
- Forecast materials needed for the remainder of the job.
- Communicate any production, quality, or cost issues with the Job Foreman in a timely manner.
- Ensure quality standards are met. Address deviations, errors, and necessary repairs to meet specifications.
- Ensure safety regulations are met. Maintain clean and safe project sites.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Shannon Staley and Sons is seeking a dynamic, experienced Project Manager to oversee residential construction and remodeling projects from estimate through completion.
This role is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, coordinating field teams and subcontractors, managing materials, maintaining project documentation, controlling costs, and ensuring each project is completed safely, efficiently, profitably, and to company quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a construction professional who takes ownership, communicates clearly, solves problems quickly, and keeps projects moving without losing sight of details, budgets, timelines, safety, or customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
Project Management

Manage construction and remodeling projects from planning through completion.

Prepare and estimate project budgets by reviewing plans, specifications, materials, labor, production time, and jobsite requirements.

Create, maintain, and communicate project schedules, priorities, budgets, reports, and expectations.

Monitor project progress to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and according to company standards.

Travel to job sites to review progress, identify issues, and coordinate next steps.

Manage daily tasks associated with client projects and ensure successful completion.

Identify risks, delays, cost concerns, labor issues, quality issues, and production challenges before they become larger problems.
Budgeting, Estimating, and Cost Control

Work with company leadership to complete budgeting and scheduling.

Track project costs and maintain awareness of each project’s budget, scope, and financial performance.

Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating pricing.

Forecast, procure, expedite, and schedule delivery of materials and services to job sites.

Prepare, process, and manage change orders, material requests, check requests, and related documentation.
Field Team and Subcontractor Coordination

Coordinate field staff, foremen, craftsmen, vendors, and subcontractors according to project priorities and schedules.

Ensure site personnel understand the initial project budget, scope of work, daily expectations, and quality requirements.

Provide leadership, direction, and support to field staff.

Address field concerns, training needs, attendance issues, performance concerns, and project execution challenges.

Perform hands-on labor tasks when needed, including picking up and delivering materials and operating tools, trucks, and equipment.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance

Inspect all aspects of construction work for quality and accuracy.

Identify deviations, errors, incomplete work, or needed repairs and ensure they are corrected.

Assist in maintaining compliance with building codes, local construction guidelines, and safety regulations.

Customer, Vendor, and Team Communication

Qualifications
