I have worked as a carpenter for many years, and have been the master carpenter and technical director of theatres throughout the Pittsburgh area. I thrive in this fast paced industry and love to help clients fulfill their needs. No challenge is too small for me. I love my team and what we do at Shannon Staley and Sons.

After college, I worked as a high school math teacher for 4 years, but I found myself enjoying the summers doing construction projects for myself much more. I made a career change, and worked my way up to Service Manager at S&A Homes. When I found myself in a tight spot, and I called SSS on a recommendation of a colleague. They did such a good job, I hired them again, and again, and am pleased that I am now part of the team.

I have worked as a plumber’s assistant before coming onto Shannon Staley and Sons. Over the years I worked up from laborer to craftsman status and then to site supervisor, field team lead, Field Coordinator, and finally Division Coordinator. I consider it the chance of a lifetime to work in the field I enjoy for a company that represents the values I try to live by every day shoulder to shoulder with people who embody those values.

I am a hands-on individual whose tools-of-the-trade have included power tools, hand tools, computers, even jet airplanes. I have always sought active and responsible jobs which result in tangible products produced, repaired, or realized. I was introduced to Shannon Staley and Sons when I worked for a regional homebuilder and the company impressed me instantly with their approach to doing business.

When I started working for Shannon Staley as a craftsman, I was 40 years old and had all but given up on finding a fulfilling career. I have finally found my home. The managers are the most motivating and trusting people I have ever met.  Their confidence in me has inspired me to be better than ever, and in 2016 I was promoted to Division Coodinator from Sr. Craftsman. I love the family atmosphere and genuinely feel like I’m part of a winning team.

I love solving problems, and the challenges in remodeling push me everyday to be a better contractor. As an army veteran, I know how important a great team is to succeed and how important values are.
